To be a really great intuitive you must be disciplined in what you allow to come into your mind. What separates the great psychics from the mediocre psychics is the discipline of the mind. We as humans are constantly bombarded with thousands of thoughts in a single day.
I have been asked the question many times how to know if information received are true messages or just left brain, or mind noise working. The answer is not simple. It takes experience and practice to know the difference.
A great psychic has learned to shut out the left brain clutter and allow divine information to flow. When the mind noise begins to enter into the mind of a great psychic, he or she knows what is happening and will ignore the information presented by the left brain. Again, this will take
time and patience to master the complexities of the left brain.
Why do we have mind noise? Write in your journal for each point a-e, describing how each one has affected you.
a. We are full of fear.
b. We feel separate from the Supreme Being.
c. We are trying to be in control.
d. We are using our mind to try and figure out things so that we can manipulate and control our circumstance.
e. We are trained by education to
use our left brain. We have to unlearn years of conditioning.
Homework:
Practice Allowing
For this
homework assignment spend 30 minutes in a quiet place. Relax your mind and body. Once you are in a relaxed state, pay special attention to all thoughts that are entering your mind. Notice the left brain begin to take over. The key is not to demand thoughts to leave because there will be another thought and another and another.
It’s a battle that cannot be won. It’s just another trick of the ego when we try and control the thoughts by demanding they leave. The key is to observe the thought process without interacting with the thoughts. Notice how difficult it is to keep the mind in a quiet place. For the undisciplined, it is impossible.
If you practice this exercise once a week for 15 minutes, you will begin to improve on just allowing thoughts to surface without interacting with them. What I mean by interacting is becoming emotionally wrapped up in them and believing that the thought is your own. Our own mind clutter is
so busy and loud that we often miss the higher divine messages.
